Almay 3 in 1 Effect Mascara

Hi there!
It's time for my first review, and as you can guess from the title, this is about the Almay 3 in 1 Effect Mascara.
On the package, this mascara claims to lengthen, curl, and volumize, that's a lot to claim for a single mascara, so can it hold up to it's promises?
I have been using this mascara for about a week, after my Colossal Volume by Maybeline ran out. Now, that mascara gave me absolutely fantastic volume, so after using that for so long, and it being my go to mascara, I have to say the volume part of this mascara didn't necessarily live up to my expectations.

I will admit that I naturally have pretty thick lashes, so the effect did not seem that dramatic for me. I also have been using a mainly volumizing mascara for quite some time, so that is what I look for in my mascara. However, I'm not saying I don't like it, just it does not give me as much volume in my lashes as Colossal Volume.
The lengthening. Here I can definitely say that it did exactly what I wanted. I definitely feel that this gives me more length to my lashes. It did what I expected it to and more honestly. So no disappointments there!
Curl. I naturally have some pretty curly lashes. I don't actually have to use an eye lash curler in the morning. But normally by the end of the day I do notice a little bit of droop in my lashes. I'm not sure why this happens, it could possibly be due to the fact that I live in a pretty humid climate, and possibly my old mascara might have been weighing my lashes down. With this mascara I was extremely surprised to find that by the end of the day, my curl was still intact. My lashes appeared just as curly as they did this morning. Whether to attribute this to a more light weight formula, or the mascara really doing it's job, I can't be certain, but I can tell you that if you do have naturally curly lashes, you won't be disappointed in your results.
PhotobucketThe one main difference between this mascara and others I have used that really sticks out to me is definitely the brush. This little guy has longer bristles on one side than it does on the other. I have never seen a mascara brush like this before, and it definitely comes in handy whenever you want to apply mascara on your bottom lashes. I also use it to get close to the lid when applying mascara on the upper lashes.

Overall, I would recommend this product. I think that it lives up to all of its claims to some degree. The only part of this mascara that I didn't truly love was the volume. Again, it did give me some, but not as much as other volumizing mascaras I have tried.
I am only one person, just because a product works for me does not necessarily mean it will work in the same way for you. I try to give the most honest and thorough review that I possibly can, and I hope that I helped you all.
Have a great night everyone!
More to come soon!
