About the hiatus...

Hi there ladies.
Even though I didn't really start off too strong, I feel like I should give everyone an explanation for my prolonged absence. I'm still in college, and frankly, this semester has been absolutely crazy. I'm hoping that next semester will not be as crazy and that I will be able to maintain this blog to the level that I want to be able to. I can't wait to get back to reviewing makeup and giving everyone tips and tricks! I have more to review, since I recently went to Ulta, so be expecting a haul video and also some reviews within the next few days :)

CVS Sale L'Oreal

Hey there ladies!! I might be a little bit late to the party on this one, but I just wanted to give you all a heads up that for the next little while, CVS is having a sale on select L'Oreal products. I personally bought two of their Feel Naturale blushes in Mocha Rose and Mauvelous Mauve, and also 2 of the HIP pigments. Grand total was $13, the normal price for one of the blushes!
All of the products that I bought were 75% off, and I know that the HIP gloss duos were also on sale at that discount. I believe there were a few more products that were also on sale for 75%. So if you're looking for some great blushes and great eyeshadows, at a price that's pretty hard to beat, I suggest you RUN to your local CVS and see if you can get your hands on these products!
You might want to hurry, I know that at my local CVS, it was slim pickins'. If you have more than one CVS you might even want to try to make it to both of them!
Wishing you all the best of luck!

FOTD and Outfit of the Day! :D

Hey there everyone!
Just a friendly face of the day update as well as outfit of the day!
Since it's Friday, I decided I would play with some color! I think that the tank top definitely speaks for itself :)
It's cute, comfy, and stylish! I really like how it's so simple, just a tank top and some shorts, but it can look so nice.

And the face of the day!
On my face today I have the following:
*Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Foundation in Translucent Light
*Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Bronzer in Light
*NYC New York Color Blushable Creme Stick in Big Apple Blush
*Clinique Blush in Iced Lotus
*Covergirl Eyeshadow Eye Enhancer Palette in Berries and Cream
*E.L.F. Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal
*Rimmel Soft Kohl in Pure White on water line
*Clinique Cream Shaper for Eyes in Black Diamond on upper lash line
*Almay Triple Effect Mascara in Black

That's all for right now everyone! Be looking for the link to my youtube account to be up soon, as well as a review on Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Foundation and Bronzer!
Have a great day!

Almay 3 in 1 Effect Mascara

Hi there!
It's time for my first review, and as you can guess from the title, this is about the Almay 3 in 1 Effect Mascara.
On the package, this mascara claims to lengthen, curl, and volumize, that's a lot to claim for a single mascara, so can it hold up to it's promises?
I have been using this mascara for about a week, after my Colossal Volume by Maybeline ran out. Now, that mascara gave me absolutely fantastic volume, so after using that for so long, and it being my go to mascara, I have to say the volume part of this mascara didn't necessarily live up to my expectations.
I will admit that I naturally have pretty thick lashes, so the effect did not seem that dramatic for me. I also have been using a mainly volumizing mascara for quite some time, so that is what I look for in my mascara. However, I'm not saying I don't like it, just it does not give me as much volume in my lashes as Colossal Volume.
The lengthening. Here I can definitely say that it did exactly what I wanted. I definitely feel that this gives me more length to my lashes. It did what I expected it to and more honestly. So no disappointments there!
Curl. I naturally have some pretty curly lashes. I don't actually have to use an eye lash curler in the morning. But normally by the end of the day I do notice a little bit of droop in my lashes. I'm not sure why this happens, it could possibly be due to the fact that I live in a pretty humid climate, and possibly my old mascara might have been weighing my lashes down. With this mascara I was extremely surprised to find that by the end of the day, my curl was still intact. My lashes appeared just as curly as they did this morning. Whether to attribute this to a more light weight formula, or the mascara really doing it's job, I can't be certain, but I can tell you that if you do have naturally curly lashes, you won't be disappointed in your results.
PhotobucketThe one main difference between this mascara and others I have used that really sticks out to me is definitely the brush. This little guy has longer bristles on one side than it does on the other. I have never seen a mascara brush like this before, and it definitely comes in handy whenever you want to apply mascara on your bottom lashes. I also use it to get close to the lid when applying mascara on the upper lashes.

Overall, I would recommend this product. I think that it lives up to all of its claims to some degree. The only part of this mascara that I didn't truly love was the volume. Again, it did give me some, but not as much as other volumizing mascaras I have tried.
I am only one person, just because a product works for me does not necessarily mean it will work in the same way for you. I try to give the most honest and thorough review that I possibly can, and I hope that I helped you all.
Have a great night everyone!
More to come soon!

Hello everyone and welcome!

Hi there everyone!
This is my first real experience in the blogging for a purpose world.
I have been blogging for about a year or so now, but it's always just been whenever it was convenient, or I was feeling really opinionated about something, but here goes blogging to help people!
A little about myself before I get to the purpose of this blog.
I am a 20 year old college student, who loves having fun with makeup, nail polish, my hair, my clothes, you name it!
I'm studying to be a science teacher, so helping and teaching people how to do things is a true passion of mine.
I am a very outgoing individual. I like doing just a little bit of everything, and love being involved in various organizations.
Anyway, what you are REALLY here for.
This blog is here to give you reviews, help, pointers, tips, anything that I can think of to help you all out, or just things that I think are interesting that I think you might think are as well!
I plan on opening up a youtube account specifically to supplement this blog so if I ever feel like something needs to be shown instead of typed, I have that option.
I will be posting pictures to illustrate the final looks of makeup tips, and more than likely videos for almost every look to show how to get there!
Thank you all for joining me on this journey, I hope it will be a long one where we both learn!
Look for a review coming later today when I get home and am able to take some pictures.
First review?
Goodbye for now!
